The show...

Got a call to audition for a show in late August to benefit a mission for a local church. Needless to say, I got a role (my first lead) and have been going non stop since. The show was a so-so farce called "My Son is Crazy...but Promising." It's about a B-movie screen writer that sells it all to buy a run-down hotel in the middle of Arizona...to dig for buried treasure. All kinds of craziness ensues with gansters, aliens, crazy foreign spies, and his mother paying a surprise visit. All the action takes place in the hotel lobby and was actually quite funny at some moments. It was truly a great experience and we sold out both nights...made about 8 grand for the mission. GOOD STUFF and they (the church) were so nice! They had food for us every night and treated us so great, you know like we were real actors. It was funny, they would thank us so much for our time, if they only knew how much most of us just LOVE the chance to be able to act in front of an appreciative audience.

I'll post so pictures, if I ever get my hands on them.

I'm frrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....

WOW! I was looking at this sad excuse for a blog and realized that I have not posted in over a month. Sorry, I have been way to busy doing tons of other things. Such as:

* Teaching, teaching, teaching
* Doing a show (just wrapped up yesterday!!)
* Finishing the basement.
* Playing with the boy.
* Working on my three other blogs (class related)
* Barely sleeping
* Catching a nasty cold!!

Other than that, you know, I have a good fifteen minutes to myself every day.

Now that the show is over, my nights will be clear for reading and blogging at a respectable level.

I will write tomorrow and fill you all in on the going on, tonite...I need to rest!
